Hemangioma

1. Preparation
    a. No patient preparation
    b. If CT, MRI, or US imaging not completed at SPHP patient should bring CD of images
2. Isotope administration
    a. Patient will receive intravenously 25 mCi Tc99m collected and labeled blood per UltraTag RCB kit.
      i. If proper IV size not available for UltraTag RCB kit, you can reconstitute pyrophosphate (PYP) intravenously and wait 30 minutes. Inject 25 mCi Tc99m intravenously and wait one hour before imaging

3. Camera Parameters Planar imaging
    a. Camera Parameters SPECT
      i. LEHR collimators used for imaging
ii. Camera peaked at with a 15% window with scatter window
      iii. Matrix: 128X128
      iv. Zoom: 1
      v. Time: 25 sec per stop
      vi. Views: 64
      vii. Detector configuration 180
      viii. Rotation: clockwise
      ix. Orbit non circular
      x. Mode step/shoot
    b. SPECT/CT Reconstruction
      i. Nuclear Medicine Parameters
        1. Iterative OSEM 2D (4 subsets, 8 iterations)
        2. Gaussian 6.0 filter
        3. Chang's Attenuation Coefficient 0.15
      ii. CT Parameters
        1. Abd Window
        2. Body 5.0 B30s Med Smooth
        3. 5 mm Slice

4. Scanning protocol
    a. An intravenous line will be placed in patients arm prior to being positioned under the camera
    b. After patient is injected with UltraTag RCB kit wait 10 minutes post injection to place patient on the table
      i. If the patient done with PYP, you must wait 1 hour post injection to place patient on the table
    c. Immediately prior to placing patient on scanning table the patient should be asked to void.
    d. All metal objects should be removed from patient prior to scan start
    e. Patient will lay supine on the table with the head facing out.
    a. For imaging, center the liver under the camera.
    b. Acquire the 1-3 bed SPECT imaging with CT imaging for attenuation correction

5. Post processing/Display/Achieve
    a. All acquired images will be adjusted for optimal viewing and appropriate labeling.
    b. All SPECT images will be displayed in coronal and sagittal planes with and without CT fusion and NM MIP
    c. Images will be sent to the PAC's system and Syngo Via for archiving/physician review
