  1. Scanning protocol
    1. Immediately prior to placing patient on scanning table the patient should be asked to void.
    2. All metal objects should be removed from patient prior to scan start
    3. Patient will lay supine on the table with the head facing out.
    4. Technologist or nurse will place an IV catheter in patient
  1. For upper extremities the non-affected side should be used for injection purposes
    1. A Tc99m marker is placed on detector 2 to mark as the right side of the body
    2. Patient will be injected with radiotracer intravenously while area of interest is within the field of view of the camera for flow images.
    3. Immediate static images are taken  of the area of interest, slightly above area of interest and slightly below the area of interest
    4. Patient will wait 3 hours before scanning the delayed static and/or whole body images
    5. For delayed and/or whole body images patient will be scanned laying supine on the table with the head facing out.
    6. For delayed static images, acquire the same images as the immediate static images with a A Tc99m marker is placed on detector 2 to mark as the right side of the body
    7. For Wholebody images, Patient will be scanned from the superior aspect of the skull to feet
    8. Additional imaging views will be acquired at the request of the radiologist supervising the exam.
  1. Post processing/Display/Achieve
    1. All acquired images will be adjusted for optimal viewing and appropriate labeling.

Images will be sent to the PAC’s system
